The Neue Pinakothek, situated just outside Munich’s old town, is a key part of the city’s rich cultural landscape. Originally housing a collection of 19th-century art, the museum features an impressive array of English works by renowned artists such as Gainsborough, Turner, and Constable, alongside a notable impressionist collection that includes pieces by many of the movement’s leading figures. Currently closed for major renovations, the Neue Pinakothek is set to reopen in 2029, promising to once again offer visitors a comprehensive and immersive experience of 19th-century European art.
