In Greek mythology, Mount Parnassus (Parnassos), standing at 8,061 feet (2,457 meters), was the home of the Muses. Located within Parnassos National Park, the mountain offers a range of activities including skiing, snowmobiling, climbing, and mountain biking. Hiking trails and 4WD adventures also allow visitors to explore its rugged terrain. However, many travelers experience the mountain primarily through a visit to the ancient site of Delphi, which lies in its shadow.
