Rising 909 feet (277 meters) above the urban expanse of Athens, Mt. Lycabettus, also known as Lykavittos, offers panoramic views that rival those of the city’s more famous hilltop sites, such as the Acropolis, but with fewer crowds. At the summit, visitors can explore a couple of restaurants, a theater, and two chapels, one of which is nestled in a cave. The hill’s elevation and unique features make it a serene and picturesque spot to take in the city from a different perspective.
