The Manjusri Monastery, also known as Manzushir Monastery, traces its origins to the 18th century. Nestled in the mountainside near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, it once housed 20 temples. However, Stalinist forces destroyed much of the complex in the 1930s. Today, visitors can explore a site that now includes yurts, a shop, an eatery, and a large cauldron. The area also features rock paintings and two small museums, offering a glimpse into the monastery’s rich history and cultural significance.
