Maligne Canyon

Maligne Canyon, carved out of limestone bedrock by a rushing river, is a narrow and steep gorge that reaches depths of up to 160 feet (50 meters) and stands as one of Jasper National Park’s most striking geological features. In summer, hikers traverse the trails that span the canyon, while in winter, the rushing water transforms into an icy wonderland, creating a dramatic and ever-changing landscape for visitors to explore.
