Louis Armstrong House Museum

In 1943, the world-renowned jazz musician Louis Armstrong chose to settle in the quiet, working-class neighborhood of Corona, Queens. The house where he lived with his fourth wife, who later willed it to the City of New York, now forms part of a 3-building complex. This includes another donated house from a next-door neighbor and friend. Today, the Louis Armstrong House Museum is dedicated to preserving Armstrong’s legacy and promoting jazz education. Visitors can explore the preserved home, gaining insight into the life and times of one of the most influential figures in jazz history.
