Little Qingdao, also known as Xiao Qingdao or Qin Island, is a small, leafy islet connected to mainland Qingdao by a road bridge. This charming spot, with its lush greenery and scenic pathways, offers visitors panoramic views of the city skyline. The island’s historical highlights include a lighthouse built by the Germans in 1900, which still stands as a testament to its colonial past, and a World War II Japanese torpedo dump. A notable feature is the statue of a lady with a zither (qin), adding a touch of cultural significance to the serene setting. Today, Little Qingdao remains a popular place for leisurely strolls and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.
