Kotor City Walls

Kotor’s UNESCO-protected walls, dating back to the Middle Ages and primarily constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries, encircle Kotor Old Town and the mountain behind it. Visitors can walk along these historic fortifications to reach St. John’s Fortress, perched on the mountainside. Along the way, they are rewarded with sweeping views of the well-preserved city and the expansive Bay of Kotor. The walls offer a tangible connection to the region’s rich history and a unique vantage point for appreciating the natural and architectural beauty of the area.
