Koh Trong Island

Koh Trong Island, nestled in the Mekong River opposite Kratie, provides a glimpse into a Cambodia that time seems to have forgotten. The island is characterized by its rice paddies, orchards, and sandbanks, offering a serene and unspoiled landscape. Visitors can explore a 6-mile (9-kilometer) trail that circles the island, passing by a few homestays, a couple of resorts, and simple cafés. Several temples and a small floating village add to the cultural tapestry, allowing travelers to experience the traditional and tranquil way of life on this idyllic isle.
