Kanchanaburi War Cemetery

The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, also known as the Don Rak War Cemetery, is a poignant memorial to the victims of the Thailand-Burma Railway construction during World War II. Located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, this site is meticulously maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Rows of neatly arranged graves, totaling 6,982, honor the Australian, British, and Dutch prisoners of war who perished under the harsh conditions imposed by the Japanese.
