Just across the moat from the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park (Jingshan Gongyuan) spans 57 acres and serves as one of Beijing’s most popular open spaces. Originally a royal garden, the park now invites visitors to observe elderly Beijingers engaging in morning exercises, especially amidst the blooming flowers in spring.
