Jebel Shams

Jebel Shams, the highest peak in the Al-Hajar mountain range and all of Oman, rises to an impressive 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) above sea level. Located near the northern town of Al Hamra, it stands in stark contrast to the cooler coastal areas along the Gulf of Oman. The mountain’s rugged terrain and dramatic cliffs offer visitors a chance to experience the raw beauty of Oman’s highlands. Hiking trails wind through the landscape, providing stunning views and a sense of the region’s natural grandeur.
