Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, established in 1914 as the Municipal Zoo with a single red-tail deer, has grown into the only walking safari in Northeast Florida. Spanning a lush landscape, the zoo now houses over 2,000 animals and 1,000 plant varieties, creating a vibrant tapestry of wildlife and botanical beauty.
