Hofgarten

Elector Maximilian I established the Hofgarten in the 17th century as a formal court garden, and it remains one of Munich’s most cherished parks. At its heart stands an octagonal pavilion, the Diana Temple, while covered arcades encircle the perimeter. The landscaped grounds offer a serene setting for leisurely activities, including games of boules and tango dancing during the summer months.
