Historic Center of Vienna

The Historic Center of Vienna, also known as the First District or Inner City, serves as the heart of Austria and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area is home to key landmarks such as the city hall, Parliament, and the vibrant Museum Quarter. Baroque castles and gardens dot the landscape, while the 19th-century Ringstrasse, a beltway of grand buildings, monuments, and parks, encircles much of the inner city. Visitors can spend an entire day exploring the numerous historic and cultural sites, each offering a unique glimpse into Vienna’s rich past.
