Halona Blowhole

Halona Blowhole

On the southeastern coast of Oahu, near Hanauma Bay, the Halona Blowhole is a natural rock formation sculpted by volcanic activity. This geological wonder features underwater lava tubes that channel ocean waves, forcing water to shoot up to 30 feet (9 meters) into the air. From the lookout, visitors can observe the dramatic display of water spouting from the blowhole and, on clear days, catch glimpses of nearby islands. The area offers a unique opportunity to witness the raw power of the Pacific Ocean and the island’s volcanic past.
