Gibbon Rehabilitation Project

The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization in Phuket, Thailand, addresses the critical issue of gibbon poaching and captivity. Dedicated staff members rescue these apes, often found in distressing conditions, and provide them with the care and rehabilitation necessary for recovery. The project’s ultimate goal is to reintroduce these gibbons back into their natural habitats whenever possible. Visitors can learn about the vital work being done to protect these endangered animals and gain insight into the challenges they face.
