Eravikulam National Park

Nestled within the UNESCO-listed Western Ghats of South India, Eravikulam National Park is a compact sanctuary near Munnar. This protected area is renowned for its efforts to conserve the endangered Nilgiri tahr, a species of mountain goat, alongside a diverse array of other mammals and birds. The park’s landscape is punctuated by the rare and enchanting purple neelakurinji flowers, which bloom spectacularly once every 12 years, transforming the hillsides into a sea of vibrant color.
