The End of the World Train, or Tren del Fin del Mundo, departs from outside Ushuaia, Argentina, and follows a historic route once used by convicts. From 1901 to 1941, prisoners labored in timber-felling worksites along this track. Today, the train travels through beech forests and peat bogs, offering a scenic journey to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Passengers can observe the lush, verdant landscape and remnants of the old work sites, providing a tangible link to the region’s past. The ride is a unique way to experience the southernmost reaches of the world.
