Dar Batha Museum

The Dar Batha Museum, housed in a 19th-century Hispano-Moorish palace built by Moulay el Hassan, is one of Fez’s most notable museums. Located in the heart of Fez, the museum showcases a vibrant collection of Moroccan arts and crafts, offering a unique insight into the city’s artistic heritage. The extensive permanent collection includes hand-painted ceramics, antique Berber carpets, gold-plated astrolabes, traditional jewelry, leatherwork, earthenware, woodwork, and embroidery, with artifacts dating from the 14th century to the present day. Visitors can explore the tranquil garden and enjoy a café, though the museum is currently temporarily closed.
