Named after the renowned European explorer Captain James Cook, the Cook Inlet extends from Anchorage to the Gulf of Alaska, encompassing a vast and picturesque coastal landscape. At its northern end, the inlet divides into the Knik Arm and the Turnagain Arm, nearly encircling the city of Anchorage.
