Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Nestled in Albuquerque’s Old Town, the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Capilla de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe) stands as a unique testament to artistic vision. Designed and built in the 1970s by Sister Giotto Moots and her fellow nuns, the chapel was originally created for the Sagrada Art School and its students. The nuns believed that this site was the planet’s center of creativity, infusing the structure with a sense of purpose and inspiration. Today, visitors can explore this distinctive building, which also serves as a popular wedding venue, offering a blend of spiritual and artistic ambiance.
