Cat Park (Parque del Gato de Tejada)

Nestled on the northern bank of the Cali River, Cat Park (Parque del Gato de Tejada) was established in 1996 following the donation of the bronze ‘El Gato Rio’ sculpture by local artist Hernando Tejada Sáenz. The park’s centerpiece, the imposing feline figure, is now accompanied by over a dozen smaller cat sculptures, affectionately known as ‘the cat’s girlfriends’ (las novias del gato). Visitors can stroll through the park, admiring the array of feline forms and enjoying the serene riverside setting.
