Casa Santo Domingo (Monasterio de Santo Domingo)

Constructed in the mid-16th century, Casa Santo Domingo, originally a Dominican monastery, was one of the largest and grandest in all of the Americas. Located in Antigua, Guatemala, the complex suffered significant damage from a series of 18th-century earthquakes. Today, it has been transformed into a luxury hotel, yet large parts of the site remain accessible to the public. Visitors can explore a series of fascinating museums housed within the historic walls, offering a glimpse into the rich history and architectural grandeur of this once-majestic monastery.
