Bubrah Temple (Candi Bubrah)

Bubrah Temple, or Candi Bubrah, is one of over 500 temples in the Prambanan Archaeological Park near Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Dating back to the ninth century, its name translates to ‘destroyed,’ reflecting its past state. However, the temple was restored and reopened in 2017, now standing at an impressive 67 feet (20.5 meters) high. Part of a Buddhist mandala group that includes Lumbung Temple and Sewu Temple, Bubrah Temple offers visitors a glimpse into the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region.
