Biblioteca Salaborsa

Biblioteca Salaborsa, a public library in the heart of Bologna, has been welcoming visitors since 2001. Housed within the historic Palazzo d’Accursio, a 13th-century private residence that later served as the city’s town hall, the library offers more than just books. Through a glass floor, visitors can observe ongoing archaeological excavations, revealing ancient Roman ruins beneath their feet.
