Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery, located just west of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, first opened its doors in 1807 and expanded throughout the 19th century. This site gained international recognition as a premier thoroughbred horse-breeding establishment. Today, visitors can explore the rich history through two main tours: The Mansion Tour, which delves into the lives of the Harding and Jackson families and the laborers who shaped the estate, and The Journey to Jubilee Tour, which focuses on the experiences of enslaved individuals before and after emancipation. The property now also serves as a museum and a popular destination for food and wine enthusiasts.
