Beaufort National Cemetery

Beaufort National Cemetery, located in Beaufort, USA, was initially established as a burial site for Union soldiers who died at a nearby hospital during the Civil War’s Battle of Port Royal. In 1863, it was designated a National Cemetery after Confederate soldiers were also interred there. Today, the cemetery holds the remains of soldiers from every major U.S. conflict, creating a solemn and historically significant space. Visitors can walk through the rows of uniform headstones, each marking the final resting place of those who served their country, offering a quiet and reflective experience.
