Baths of Diocletian (Terme di Diocleziano)

The Baths of Diocletian, or Terme di Diocleziano, once sprawled across 32 acres in Imperial Rome, serving as the largest public baths and accommodating up to 3,000 bathers at a time. While much of the original complex has been lost, the surviving structures still convey the grand scale and architectural sophistication of the ancient site. Visitors today can explore these remnants, gaining insight into the daily lives and bathing rituals of the Romans, who frequented these expansive, communal spaces for both hygiene and socializing.
