Arasta Bazaar

Built in conjunction with Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, the Arasta Bazaar was originally designed to fund the imperial mosque through the rent from its market stalls. Located in the heart of the Sultanahmet neighborhood, this historic bazaar now houses a long row of shops offering a variety of Turkish goods. Visitors can browse through an array of carpets, kilims, ceramics, and textiles, as well as savor prepared foods and tea. The bazaar’s vibrant atmosphere and rich history make it a notable stop for those exploring the cultural and commercial heritage of Istanbul.
