Angono Petroglyphs

The Angono Petroglyphs, located in Angono, Rizal, southeast of Manila, are some of the oldest rock carvings in Southeast Asia, dating back to the late Stone Age, over 4,000 years ago. Etched into a rock shelter, the 127 carvings depict human and animal figures, offering a glimpse into the lives and beliefs of ancient Filipinos. Visitors can explore the site and view the petroglyphs up close, as well as visit a small on-site museum that houses ceramics, fossils, and other artifacts, providing further context and insight into the region’s rich prehistoric heritage.
