Standing along Washington D.C.’s Embassy Row, the early 20th-century Anderson House was once the residence of esteemed American diplomat, Larz Anderson. This grandiose Beaux Arts-style mansion, with its ornate façade and elegant interiors, now serves as the headquarters for the Society of the Cincinnati. Donated to the society after Larz Anderson’s death, the building is a National Historic Landmark. Visitors can explore the opulent rooms and learn about the history and mission of the Society of the Cincinnati, which honors the officers of the Continental Army and their descendants.
