The Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka began with the rescue of a single injured bald eagle and has since grown into the state’s largest bird rehabilitation facility. Each year, the center treats between 100 to 200 eagles, falcons, owls, and other birds of prey. Visitors can observe these majestic raptors up close, learn about their individual stories, and witness their recovery as they relearn how to fly. The center offers a unique opportunity to connect with and understand the vital role these birds play in the ecosystem.
