Kenmare’s Stone Circle, known locally as the Shrubberies, is one of the largest among the approximately 100 such sites in Ireland’s southwest. Comprising 15 heavy stone slabs arranged in an oval, this ancient formation dates back to the Bronze Age. While its original function remains a mystery, it is believed to have held spiritual significance for its builders. Today, visitors can explore this enigmatic site and ponder the rituals and ceremonies that may have taken place here thousands of years ago.
