Founded by political cartoonist K. Shankar Pillai, Shankar’s International Dolls Museum in New Delhi opened its doors in 1965 with a collection of around 1,000 dolls. Today, the museum boasts over 6,500 dolls from 85 countries, making it one of the largest doll collections in the world. Visitors can explore a diverse array of dolls, each offering a glimpse into the cultures and traditions of their respective origins. The museum’s extensive displays provide a unique and educational experience, inviting guests to appreciate the intricate details and craftsmanship of these miniature figures.
