Outside of Tela, the Lancetilla Botanical Garden spans 4,154 acres, making it the largest botanical garden in Honduras. Established to conserve and study a diverse array of flora, the garden is home to over 2,800 plant species. Visitors can explore the property via walking trails that wind through experimental plantations and arboretums, offering a close-up look at the rich biodiversity. A small interpretive center provides educational exhibits on tropical plants, enhancing the experience with informative displays. The garden’s clear-running river offers a refreshing spot to cool off, adding to the serene and natural ambiance.
