École Militaire

Nestled at the end of the Parc du Champ de Mars, with the Eiffel Tower and Trocadero in view, the 18th-century École Militaire stands as a significant military institution. Notably, it was the alma mater of Napoleon Bonaparte. The French classical main hall, marked by bullet holes from retreating German units during World War II, continues to house the officers’ academy of the French army. Visitors can explore this historic site and stroll through the adjacent Champ de Mars park, which originally served as the school’s parade ground.
