The National Museum of Finland, or Suomen Kansallismuseo, stands in Helsinki, its exterior evoking the grandeur of a Gothic church with intricate stonework and a prominent tower. Built in 1916 and renovated in 2000, the museum’s galleries delve into various periods of Finnish history and art. Inside, visitors can explore the rich tapestry of local heritage through carefully curated exhibits. Note that starting in October 2023, the museum will be closed for 2-3 years for extensive renovation and new construction.
