House of Dionysos

Located within the Paphos Archaeological Park, the House of Dionysos stands as the largest of four Roman villas, collectively known as the Mosaic Houses. These structures are renowned for their intricate floor mosaics, meticulously crafted from limestone tiles. Dating back to the second and third centuries AD, these mosaics lay concealed until a local farmer unearthed them in 1962. Today, visitors can explore the villa and admire the detailed and vibrant mosaics that offer a glimpse into the artistic and cultural life of ancient Rome.
