Wonderland Sculpture

In downtown Calgary, in front of The Bow building, stands the Wonderland Sculpture, a 39-foot (12-meter) tall artwork in the shape of a young girl’s head. Created by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, this striking statue is crafted from painted stainless steel. Designed to symbolize the hopes and dreams of the province’s youth, the sculpture invites visitors to contemplate its meaning and admire its imposing presence. Today, it serves as a focal point for both locals and tourists, offering a unique backdrop for reflection and photography.
