Confederation Square

Confederation Square, a triangular plaza located between Wellington Street and Elgin Street in front of Parliament Hill in Ottawa, was officially completed around 1939, along with the National War Memorial. At the center of the square stands a giant granite memorial, originally dedicated to the Canadians who fought in World War I. Over time, it has evolved into a symbol honoring all Canadians who have served in times of war.
