Taos Pueblo

Taos Pueblo, a community of adobe homes and ceremonial structures built into terraced tiers, stands as a testament to over 1,000 years of continuous habitation. Located outside of Taos, New Mexico, this National Historic Landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the Red Willow People, with about 1,900 tribal members living on the lands and 150 residing within the pueblo year-round. The earthen architecture, with its layered design, offers a glimpse into the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region. Visitors can explore the well-preserved structures and learn about the traditions and daily life of the community that has thrived here for centuries.
