The Menil Collection

Nestled in a leafy neighborhood a short drive from downtown Houston, the Menil Collection is a modernist museum and art district that showcases the extensive collections of French-American patrons. Designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, the museum building houses an impressive array of art, ranging from prehistoric to contemporary pieces. The museum serves as the centerpiece for a 30-acre (12-hectare) campus, which includes satellite galleries and installations. Visitors can explore a diverse and thoughtfully curated collection, set against the serene backdrop of the surrounding green spaces.
