Sutro Baths

Perched atop granite bluffs at the western tip of San Francisco, the Sutro Baths once stood as a testament to the wealth generated by the Gold Rush. This expansive public bathhouse featured seven indoor swimming pools, offering a unique recreational experience for visitors. Today, while the grandeur of the original structure has faded, the site still draws visitors who come to explore the ruins and enjoy the dramatic coastal views. The remnants of the baths, now partially submerged and overgrown, provide a glimpse into the city’s rich history and the opulence of a bygone era.
