Bhadra Fort

Bhadra Fort, founded in 1411 by Ahmad Shah I to fortify the new capital of the Gujarat Sultanate, stands as a historic landmark in Ahmedabad. Once the site of a medieval court and later a British colonial jail, the fort underwent a full renovation in 2014. Today, it presents a squat fortress with Indo-Saracenic-style arches, balconies, and latticework. Visitors can explore its well-preserved structures and gain insight into the city’s rich history.
