Constructed by Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in the 16th century, the Saadian Tombs (Tombeaux Saadiens) in Marrakech house over 200 crypts of the Saadian dynasty. The mausoleums are distinguished by their lavish design, with intricate zellige tiles, detailed woodwork, and gold and marble embellishments. Visitors can explore the ornate interiors, where the interplay of light and shadow highlights the rich textures and colors of the craftsmanship.
