Caves of Hercules

Located 7 miles west of Tangier, near Cape Spartel, the Caves of Hercules is a notable attraction with a rich history. Discovered in 1906, the cave stretches for 18.6 miles, blending natural and man-made elements. It features two distinct openings: one facing the land and another opening to the sea, known as the ‘Map of Africa’ due to its unique shape. Visitors can explore the extensive network of caverns and marvel at the geological formations, while also enjoying the scenic coastal views that surround the site.
