The Alexandria Athenaeum, located in Old Town, USA, stands as a testament to neoclassical Greek Revival architecture and is one of only two surviving examples of this style in the area. Originally serving as a bank, factory, and church, the building now houses the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association (NVFAA) and functions as a gallery, performance space, and rental venue. Visitors can marvel at its 24-foot-high coved ceilings, enormous windows, ornate woodwork, and four towering Doric columns that grace the exterior. Today, the Athenaeum offers a unique setting for art exhibitions, cultural events, and private functions.
