Built in 1618, the Kusadasi Caravanserai, also known as Öküz Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai, stands near Kusadasi’s harbor. Commissioned by the Ottoman statesman Öküz Mehmed Pasha, this historic inn served as a trading house for centuries. Its robust stone walls and traditional Ottoman architecture reflect the era’s craftsmanship. Today, the caravanserai has been repurposed as an outdoor venue for entertainment, festivals, and arts events, offering visitors a unique blend of history and contemporary culture. The open courtyard and surrounding arcades provide a picturesque setting for various cultural activities.
