Dubai Creek

The Dubai Creek, or Khor Dubai, is the lifeblood that gave rise to the city of Dubai. This waterway winds through the historic heart of the United Arab Emirates, dividing Deira and Bur Dubai. Today, the creek is a bustling hub of activity, with wooden abra water taxis crisscrossing its waters, shuttling passengers between the vibrant souks of Deira on the northeastern bank and the historic district of Bur Dubai on the southwestern side. Visitors can experience the creek’s dynamic energy, immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of traditional trade and transport.
